Marissa Anteby's Bio

Marissa Anteby
President, Embody Inc.

Marissa's degree in Advertising/Communication has served her well on her career path. After climbing the corporate ladder to become Associate Manager of Marketing/Operations at Business Week Magazine, she put her team building skills to the ultimate test… in raising her four children! She gracefully balanced full-time motherhood with part-time volunteer work for community-based organizations. That’s where Marissa’s gift of encouraging people to expand upon their inherent potential became her mission. In pursuit of learning all she could about the powerful mind/body connection, Marissa traveled the world, spanning four continents, devoting thousands of hours, attending classes, seminars, and retreats, with the most revered physiology experts.

Knowledgeable in kinesthetic practices from her globe trotting studies, Marissa amassed a loyal following of students including Iron-Men competitors and celebrities, through her permanent group exercise classes held in New York City's premier health clubs. Crowd favorites like her, “Weekend Warrior Ride,” seamlessly fuse Cycling and Yoga principles together. Marissa's numerous fitness based workshops and special events attained international popularity, when she lived and taught in Dubai, UAE.

Marissa earned and maintains nine certifications from the top authoritative agencies in the wellness field. Among these is a six-month Hatha Yoga Teacher Training she completed under industry icon, Molly Fox, a nine-month Ishta Advanced Yoga Teacher Training from Yogiraj Alan Finger, a Usui Reiki Level 2 certification from Shinpiden Tom Capshew, and Thai Yoga Massage certification from The Lotus Palm Centre.

Participating in several fitness conferences each year, Marissa keeps current with the latest health care information. Her intensive study with John Friend, Founder of Anusara Yoga, Rodney Yee, of Gaiam Yoga video fame, Julie Kleinman, Director of Yoga Works LA, Johnny G., President of Madd Dog Spinning, and Elllie Herman, author and owner of Ellie Herman Pilates, continue to shape the way Marissa teaches. Marissa is recognized as a senior level instructor by Keiser Cycle Sculpt, Kris Kory Power Pacing, and Peleton Cycling, and as a Master Trainer for Blue Jersey Cycling and Heart Zones Cycling.

Marissa’s latest venture brings her back full circle to her corporate America roots. With the founding of her company www.embodyinc.com, Marissa has been heeding her calling of assisting people in the workplace. Her company specializes in stress-management and creative-visualization through guided meditation, strength training, and a holistic approach to life. Marissa’s nurturing style fosters individuality and inspires her students to unwrap each activity like a gift to themselves. She believes, “You are your own best teacher,” and formats her classes accordingly.
