Tips for using your intuition

Tips for using your intuition

Pay close attention to your initial response to a place, and you'll find that your senses have instantaneously gathered a lot of information. Coupled with your interpretation of these messages, you form an opinion or a feeling about the space.

You've subconsciously surveyed the architecture, style, interior design, colors, patterns, textures, lighting, air quality, aromas, sound, vibrancy, and more. That's because everything in the universe (including you,) is comprised of vibrating energy. The frequency (or speed) of these energies are different, and can influence each other. So, your life is filled with reactions to all the vibrational energy around you.

This energy moves around like an invisible breath. If your personal energy is tuned to the same frequency, you are in harmony with your surroundings and feel at ease. You intuitively know which environments correspond with your energy. For example, you are cognizant of which colors relax you, or help you become alert. However, you may need to slow down in order for your inner voice to emerge and be heard.

When it comes to our homes, they are an extension of all the vibrational energy of everything and everyone living there. The easier it is for this energy to flow unobstructed, at a gentle pace, the better. Your home should be a place to retreat from daily living, and restore your calm.

The quickest way to create a serene, nurturing ambiance is to get rid of clutter. Discarding things you don't truly need and keeping items you love, will leave you with belongings that actually belong together. Since you're the one choosing what gets tossed and what stays, you'll tend to hold on to pieces that are in line with your energy and vibrational tendencies. This will be good for unifying the prevailing energy of your home.

To increase the power of your intuition, practice using it more often! Ask yourself why you prefer a certain room, or what it is about a piece of music that speaks to you. The more answers you gather about your specific inclinations, the richer your insight will become.
