Tips for taking an InstaVacation

Tips for taking an InstaVacation
By: Marissa Anteby

Need a moment of quiet? Want to slow down and relax? Do you wish you could clear your mind for a minute? Not sure if this is possible with all the errands you must get done today? Well, I have your answers. Actually, I should re-phrase that... you have your answers (they are already inside of you,) and I can show you how to find them.

1. Sit down in a comfortable position.

2. Place your hands in your lap.

3. Inhale slowly and fill your whole body with air.

4. Exhale gradually. Give yourself the suggestion to let go of all your responsibilities and become connected to your breathing.

5. Close your eyes and travel inwards.

6. Visualize a meadow filled with flowers.

7. Notice the different colors, the sound of the warm breeze as it moves through the long blades of grass, the light smell of peonies, daffodils, and all kinds of wild flowers.

8. Above you, see the puffy clouds drifting in a never-ending light blue sky. Float here for a few moments, as you follow your inhalations and exhalations.

9.

Before you get up and return to your frenetic day, take a moment to thank yourself for being here for you!

Know that any time you want, you can re-visit your inner landscape and roam freely for a bit.
